The only problem I see is that you have a horrible Poison Type weakness. You might want to consider a Steel type to replace one of your Fairy Types. Maybe Sandslash over the Ninetales?

😉

Reply To: Show your work: Progress of a design

Since my newest design, Petrus Holt is physically identical to his brother Nicodemus, I could use my earlier design as a base.

After a shave and a haircut and a diet, I started working on Petrus’s outfit. I borrowed boots from this nice pirate lady.

Once the aspects started coming together, I color-coded the parts so I could easily see which parts belonged together.

My first attempt at coloring him didn’t work so well. A bright purple like this is not a Warhammer 40k color at all. I also gave him armored trousers to show he’s wearing armor underneath all this high fashion.

After I felt I had a good color scheme, I started working on the shading and making some last-minute tweaks (like his nose).

More shading…

And the final version, with an added collar, power cord for his hellpistol, and a tweaked color scheme for the boots and the armor.

I think it turned out pretty good. I’d still like to see how your works progress from start to finish.

The team pictures are just wonderful. Great work, and a ton of variety. Great use of color, body types and different styles.

Man! Cliff, I hadn’t checked on you in awhile. Sorry to hear about the piggies.  Did they recommend you get one of those foot-pedal-operated potter’s wheels to increase blood flow? You can satisfy some art craving, build circulation, and not even be standing–of course, if you go working clay, we’ll want to see your satyrs and other stuff posted here . . .

‘New Kid’ is gonna be one of those stories where the dog is REALLY grateful he was nice as a pup . . .

Personally I’ve found that multi-layered eyes go a long way on making up for not being as good at the rest of the face. Good stuff, man. ‘Hey There’ reminds me of why I agreed to contort and puppeteer a fake perambulator. We didn’t film any of the results, but I got great views through the periscope before having the purple tentacles show out of the diaper . . .

Man, I would kill to get to work on Farscape in any form.

I tweaked the design a little more since I wasn’t satisfied with the initial look. Had to darken the tones a little bit to match the WH40k aesthetic, among other things.

In addition, here are the brothers side by side for comparison.

La Chica Muerta really is a great potential story worthy of her own graphic novel. Very rational thinking, that she might already be dead . . .

Layered fonts on ‘The Freeze’ look great. Was that part hm too? Looks likely, but I’m not sure.
