This is another character from the campaign I’m playing. This is our Goliath Paladin. This photo is my favorite (so far), and is heavily influenced by “The Forsaken” by Valyndril (one of my personal favorite pieces to see, and one that has created the goal to make more pieces like this). On this one, it’ll be the only one that I based off another project. Surprisingly, I think this took me less time to do than my previous portrait. I will honestly say that I am very proud of how this turned out, and I’m glad that I can at least imitate (and I will say that the original influence, again, was a piece by Valyndril, and that I hope this post doesn’t get pulled).

Hey guys.

I’ve been super busy lately and haven’t had the chance to sit down and make anything new but I did update Anansi slightly so here he is again…

Mako is from the Sharkskin tribe. Many years ago the Atlanteans were exposed to radiation from a chasm that had opened up on the ocean floor. Some of them developed tough shark-like skin, long claws grew on their hands, and a fin sprouted on their heads. The Atlanteans refused to accept their people in this condition and exiled them far away to another part of the vast ocean, so as to never see them again. As the years passed and generations came and went a resentment began to take hold of them. They no longer wanted to be exiled from their kingdom and so they revolted. They have launched many attacks on Atlantis, but have yet to find any success. These losses only makes their anger and hatred grow, and soon they will attack again.

–You didn’t show the bug in the picture before, when it dive-bombed into the baby’s mouth . . .

Yeah, haven’t quite figured out how to get the detailing in on small things like fingers using this gradient coloring style yet.

And omfg, you’re so right, thats EXACTLY the expression! I can’t unsee it now lmao!
…well. That sure is a baby. Very impressive! The shading work really blends the parts together, nothing sticks out in a bad way.
Thanks! Yeah, this one really blended a lot more smoothly than the others in this style. Not sure if its just cus its mostly skin tone or what.
