Hey folks, I am tentatively stepping into the waters here of posting my creations. Feedback is welcome, especially constructive criticisms. If I learned anything from the couple art classes I’ve taken, it’s that it doesn’t matter how hard I intend a piece to work: if it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work.
So, without ado, here’s the piece I’ve been working on for the last few days.
This individual is a member of a fire-worshipping cult, as the markings on her face display. As a member of this organization, she possesses a necklace that allows her to manipulate fire. The secrets of the necklace – and how to use it – are closely guarded, for members of this cult believe that a true master of fire, upon death and cremation, will rise from the ashes and be reborn into the form of a phoenix.
I’m not quite happy with the lava effects, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to make that look right yet.
