When I was but a small girl my father thought me the “massverkans lag”. Basically this means that coherency, either through a common colour scheme or geometry, creates a very appealing overall look. Your Zodiac characters are one of the greatest examples of this concept, both through their mythological connection and the awesome colours. They work perfectly both individually and as a unit.

(As a side note; “massverkans lag” translates to “mass effect”. So many years later I realized that my father was talking out of his ass, as fathers are wont to do, regarding the actual term. I believe his point still stands, though.)
