Leszy (sometimes written as Leshy) know also as borowy, borowiec, laskowy, leśnik, gajowy, leśny dziad
It is not a my idea but actual demon from Slavic mythology. Well, not exactly a demon. You see Slavs used term “demon” for every supernatural creature no matter it was good, evil or neutral. Leszy is neutral one, he is kind of spirit of forest who protect trees and animals. Sometimes he help people who lose one’s way, sometimes he make people to lose one’s way. What interesting his hight depends on size of nearby trees. In others versions it is said that he can change his size from the size of smallest blade of grass to the size of highest tree.
I wonder how many of you hear about him or any other creature from Slavic mythology?
