Henry Sark is physically unimposing, introverted, and unattractive. He lives his life doing what others tell him as the assistant of a cutthroat businessman. Henry lives in a small, dull apartment and drives a small, dull car. For the better part of his life, he is nobody.
But when Henry’s body becomes completely immersed in salt water, he undergoes an amazing transformation. He becomes the Shark, a humanoid black fish with sharp, crushing teeth, a powerful tail, and a command over the nastier of the creatures of the sea. He has seized control of a population of merpeople on the ocean’s floor, and crowned himself their emperor.
It is theorized that Henry has a mutated gene causing this anomaly. He himself cares little for the reason. He lives for the thrill of ruling the people of the sea with cruelty and intimidation.
Emperor Shark is the main nemesis of the hero Waverunner.
