Among others to join the Liberator’s battle (limbo’s father) was an archivist, now librarian, named Ian. He provided logistical support and went by the name of Scribe. He had a son, Micheal that he raised to become the new face of the vigilantes. Micheal became Torchbug. After The Urban Wolf started contacting the old vigilante group Scribe sends out his protegee, who outdoes Limbo multiple times, but is ultimately saved by him many times as well. They treat crime fighting as a friendly competition.
