Feed back: when playing with alpha, especially on energy effects, you should probably experiment with transparency on the outline a bit more. If masking isn’t going to give you the effect you want, sometimes you can ‘build’ the effect. It is usually more work. Like hiding things with ‘patches’ or Insignia/Tech colored to blend in. Or building small pieces of items out of very small items. I seem to remember adding a hemline made out of flattened sickle blades and crescent insignia and making a ghostbuster stream emitter wand out of a flattened chainsaw. Keep experimenting!
