Ok guys, for this weeks contest, I want you to create the best costume you possibly can. I'm not looking for amazing poses, intricate backgrounds, lots of powers on display, I just want to see a good costume. You can do a superhero costume, or you could focus on doing everyday clothes, formal wear, period costume, fantasy. And remember it doesn't have to be amazingly intricate and complicated, a well done little black dress can be just as effective as a fantasy ball gown.

This week, I would like you to create a character to represent one of the three emergency services (Police, Firefighters or Paramedics) or an associated department or profession (e.g. Police- S.W.A.T (associated department), Paramedics- Doctors/ Nurses (associated profession)). You can do real-life, superhero, futuristic, they can represent the service either through it being their job or a connection due to their superpower, doesn't matter, just so long as they represent either the Police Service, Fire Department or the Medical profession.

This week, I would like to see you come up with a hero, heroine or villain that is colour themed, like Red Tornado, Green Lantern or Blue Devil. They must include a colour in their name and that colour must be the most prevalent in their costume, though you may include other colours as well. Hopefully this will allow you to concentrate on really good costume design.

For this weeks challenge, I want you to create something magical, some form of witch, wizard or warlock, sage, sorcerer or spell-caster, mage or magician. You can create a modern Merlin or a fantasy fire-mage. My only stipulation is that they should be pictured performing some form of magic, be it casting a spell, riding a flying broom or turning a prince into a toad.

This week I want you to create a picture that represents a duality, two opposites interacting. This can be through two characters, one character in two halves (split down the middle if you will), a split screen, any way you can think of so long as it shows two opposites in one picture. You can do any opposites you choose (if you are unsure of what I mean by opposites, think Male/ Female, Good/ Evil, Life/ Death, Night/ Day, Angels/ Demons, Land/ Sea, that sort of thing, it shouldn't be to hard to think of a good theme).

I know that there are some people out there that will really be able to make this theme their own, so everyone needs to be on the top of their games here.

As we had so much fun with last weeks Public Domain contest, I thought this week we'd do another. What I want you to do this week is go to this list http://pdsh.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Comic_Book_Characters and do the next generation of any of these public domain comic book characters. Think Alan Scott- Hal Jordan or Jay Garrick- Barry Allen. You just have to keep the same powers, the same gimmick/ logo (if applicable, i.e. the power ring for Green Lantern) and the name. You can change everything else if you want.

Make sure you don't re-enter any characters that you have entered into previous Public Domain contests as they will be disqualified. You can only enter characters on this list (there are over ten pages so hopefully you'll find something you like the look of).

This week I want you guys to have a look through the numerous literary characters that have fallen into public domain as listed on this site http://pdsh.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Literary_Characters, and do your own take on them. You can do modern versions, contemporary versions or futuristic versions I don't care, just be mindful of one thing; as these characters have been in the public domain they are not copyrighted, but adaptations of them made since are copyrighted (such as the Frankenstein movies, the Phantom of the Opera's mask form the musical, or the many Sherlock Holmes movies/ tv series), so make sure these are YOUR OWN VERSIONS.

For this weeks contest, I want you to create a picture of someone undergoing a transformation. You can do a "during" picture or a "before and after" picture just as long as both before and after are in one image. As for the type of transformation, that is up to you. You can do human to animal, were-creatures, human to human (including gender if you feel so inclined), size/ muscle growth, possession transformation (as seen above), or any that you can think of that I haven't. Just make it awesome.

As Saturday was the 44th anniversary of the first moon landing, I thought that this weeks contest should be a celebration of that. So, what I want you to do is create the greatest space hero you can. I'm not looking for aliens here, I'm looking for human heroes. Think Green Lantern or Nova. You can go down the spacesuit route if you want or do explorers in their spaceship, what ever you want, just make it awesome.

For this weeks challenge I want you to create a family based superhero team (like the one shown above).

Rules Specific For This Week: Each submission picture must include at least 2 characters that are related to each other in some way (Husband/ Wife, Brother/ Sister, Grandparent/ Grandchild, Parent/ Child), larger group shots are allowed. I will allow the use of external programs to put together larger group shots (more than 3 people), but ONLY for that purpose, not for effects and shading. Anyone taking liberties with this will be disqualified (believe me when I say I will be able to tell).
