Going old school CDC this week, with a two great tastes set up. Basically I want you to make genre mash up between martial arts style (that means ninjas too) and another genre, superhero, western, sci-fi, horror, fantasy, pirates, funny animals, what ever you can think of. Hopefully, you guys can do some interesting stuff with this, as last time we did a TGT contest it had the highest entry number of any contest I've done.

Ok, guys, for this weeks contest I want you to make a cool machine. I want anything purely mechanical, so robots (but not cyborgs), star-drives, super-computers, blasters etc. Use your imagination and think outside the box on this one because its quite a broad remit.

This week I want you guys to create something based on one of the twenty two major arcana tarot cards. It can be a remimagining of the card its self or a character based on a card, I don't mind. This week I'm going to try something a bit different. Instead of giving you a set topic which you have to stick to, I'm going to give you free reign to create what ever you want. However, I have one proviso, this week I've been looking at a lot of art inspired by music and visa versa, so I want you to create something inspired by a piece of music. It doesn't have to be connected to the content of the song, but I want you to try to capture the feeling of that song in your work. Hopefully this will lead to some very good art work from you all. You can do characters, abstracts, landscapes, anything. The one rule I have this week is I want you to put the song title and artist name in the comment when you post your work, because I can't judge how well your art captures the music if I don't know what song you've done. And don't worry about me not liking the song. I'm pretty open in my music tastes, as long as it isn't Justin Bieber or Music Concrete (don't ask).

This week, as it's halloween, I would like you to break out the bedsheets and show me your best ghoul, ghast or ghost. You are free to do any kind of non-corperal entity, from a pernicious poltergeist to a frightening phantom. You can do this any way you want, horror-centric, fantasy, historical, real-life or you could do a Boston Brand (not literally, 'cause that would beak the rules, but you get the idea). No zombies are allowed (on account of them being corperal entities), but possessed objects/ people do count, as long as there is some evidence of said possessing spirit.

So guys, this weeks I want you to create something cosmic. Simple as that. It doesn't even have to be a character if you don't want to do that, it can just be a space background. I'd rather you kept the human to a minimum, considering we had a Space Heroes contest a couple of months back, but I will be allowing aliens this time, so you can go crazy with the weird body types and stuff like that. The only proviso on these characters is they have to be at a cosmic level, so think Silver Surfer rather than the Super-Skrull. I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with for this one.

No, not that; that's naturism. This week I want you to create a character who can control some aspect of nature, so things like plants, animals, earth that sort of thing. I'm not looking for elementals, so no fire controllers or geo-mancers, but you can have water as long as the character has some connection to a natural environment (think Aquaman style powers). Also weather controllers will count.

This week, I would like you to create a historical character from any point in human history. You can do any time between the Stone Age to World War 2 (preferably no later than WW2 please), anywhere in the world, Renaissance Italy, Ancient Egypt, Feudal Japan, Medieval England or Civil War America, just so long as the character fits the time. No steampunk unfortunately, as that didn't actually happen, but you've got nearly all of human history to play with so surely you can come up with ideas.

One little change this week, my fellow moderator and serial contest winner; djuby shall be guest judging for me this week. I'm sure he will be looking very closely at your costume designs, so make sure they're good.

This week I want you to use the power of precognition and create the winner of this weeks psychic powers contest. Basically, create an awesome character with some form of psychic powers. They can have  Telepathy, Telekinesis, Clairvoyance, Precognition, Astral Projection, Mediumship, Mind Control, Possession etc. but you MUST do some form of visual representation of their powers.

This week, your task, should you choose to accept it, is to make an amalgamation of two characters in any of these public domain comic book company lists: http://pdsh.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Characters_by_company

Incase you don't know what an Amalgamation is, here's the definition:

Amalgamate: to mix or merge so as to make a combination

Your two characters must come from two different comics companies and must have amalgamated costumes, powers (unless the two characters have very similar powers) and names. Use the Amalgam comics characters as a guide if you are unsure what to do, but you can only use characters on these lists.
