i started doing pirates with supernatural properties such as vampire, werewolf and zombie. I was going to do ghosts, troll goblins etc as well but then didn’t bother.

Or you could do space pirates

Or robot pirates

Or cowboy pirates

Or animal pirates

…I’ll stop now.

I seem to remember there was a pirate contest. It should be archived somewhere with the contests. I suggested a miniature humanoid for the shoulder of an avian pirate someone made. Can’t remember if they did it.
