This is heartbreaking. RIP Carrie Fisher. She was more than Princess Leia. (She was also played the rocket launcher-toting Mystery Woman in The Blues Brothers!) Her career included movies, television, voice acting, and writing. Her credits in IMDB are quite extensive.
2016 has been a horrible year for movie and music legends. For us kids of the 1970s and 80s, our idols aren’t that much older than us! Almost stuck a foot in the grave a couple of years ago myself.
My old roommate has a list of celebrity deaths (the ones important to him), and I’m pretty sure 2016 is the biggest year yet. Wake me up when this nightmare is over.
And R.I.P. Debbie Reynolds! She and her daughter Carrie Fisher had a tumultuous relationship (Postcards from the Edge). I dare to say that Ms. Fisher’s passing was too much for Ms. Reynolds and impacted so many hearts. Debbie and Gene Kelly, singing in the rain.

This year can jump down a sarlacc pit.
Besides Linda Carter as Wonder Woman I remember Carrie Fisher as an early celebrity crush. Sucks that she’s gone.
Sadly, I sensed this coming as soon as she was hospitalized. Sad, but I’m ready . . .
🙁 It was all over the covers of newspapers (The Sun probably didn’t, though; they were probably praising her death)…
Shall be missed . . .
