Ok guys, for this weeks challenge I want you to create a character that is more likely to use their brain to solve problems rather than any physical might. This can come in any form you can think of (for example both super-intelligence and psychic powers would apply, but logical thinking and detective sleuthing are also applicable, vis-a-vis Sherlock Holmes or Batman) and doesn't just have to be confined to superheroes, you can do Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Western, Noir, Anime, etc. You are also not just confined to heroes either, evil geniuses are welcomed, provided world domination is non-successful at this stage. Of course, it would be nice if you can show your character using their incredible mental abilities as well.
As per usual, no limits on entries and the contest will close at midnight Saturday (blog time). Please read the contest rules before entering, have fun and good luck.
Rules for posts, contests, and challenges that I am hosting: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warnings. Only post characters that you have either created for this contest specifically or you know for certain have never been entered to a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.
I guess I might as well enter this character into the contest:

Maw is a crime lord in a fantasy metropolis. She rarely takes part in conflicts personally. She prefers to use her resources, underlings and influence to deal with problems.
My first is The Mindful. He’s part of an alien race with extremely powerful mind powers, that are do to the energy gathering stones on their bodies.

Entry #1
Dr. Mental
(yes it can mean smart … or crazy Muah ha ha ha ha !)
I went kinda old school.
I only did the face then reread the rules that we were supposed to kinda show them using their intellect, so added the chin rubbing hand and the hand and glowing test tube.I think it really added to it. Of course I had to reshade him due to the green glow, but I really like how it turned out.

My second is the Challenger, a character who can create images in peoples minds, and essentially fight them inside their own minds.

My Entry:
Empath- Norah Bishop was born with extraordinary psionic powers. She is able to read the minds of others through their emotions, and in turn, project emotions at other people. She is also adept at reading ambient emotions that naturally emanate from people in day-to-day life. In combat, she utilizes the emotions and adrenaline of those around her to boost herself and those around her, and the thoughts she picks up makes her able to predict enemy movements. Most dangerously, these emotions (from herself and others) can amplified and directed at an enemy, to devastating effect. Norah became a crime fighter alongside Lady Justice, taking for her name the term used for her type of powers.

Meet Conal O’Malley. He’s a telepathic P.I. who used to think a blade (especially one controlled by his brain) solved most cases. He lost his eye thinking like that. Now, with the benefit of that hard-won experience, he sees more with one eye than most men do with two. Recently he’s taken on a partner. Jimmy Malloy, his hot-headed cousin.
Ok guys, this weeks contest is closed. The poll will be up shortly.
