Character Design Contest ♯46- Cosmic

So guys, this weeks I want you to create something cosmic. Simple as that. It doesn't even have to be a character if you don't want to do that, it can just be a space background. I'd rather you kept the human to a minimum, considering we had a Space Heroes contest a couple of months back, but I will be allowing aliens this time, so you can go crazy with the weird body types and stuff like that. The only proviso on these characters is they have to be at a cosmic level, so think Silver Surfer rather than the Super-Skrull. I'm looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with for this one.

As per usual, there are no entry limits, the contest will close at 12am Sunday (blog time). Please read the rules before entering, have fun and good luck.

Rules for posts, contests, and challenges that I am hosting: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warnings. Only post characters that you have either created for this contest specifically or you know for certain have never been entered to a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.

I made this A long time ago, and I never thought that it would ever fit into a contest!

Man, what a topic! I don’t need to feel homesick . . . oh, well. [digs through some old photos]
Some of you have read me reference the Hairbrush Nebula. This is a shot of the Hairbrush (middle,) the Braid (left,) and the edge of a million-parsec-wide void.

This is a shot of the corona of T21, yellow gas giant. Remarkably stable, considering it’s stage.

This isn’t a photo of outer space so much as a reaction: “Captain? A new vector please?”

–But really, stars are just stars. The technology to move them or make them is COSMIC. And it scares more primitive cultures.

    **let’s try that again.

    My entry:
    TanCred
TanCred was created by a fluke of physics durring the destruction of a supernova and now drifts among the stars seeking knowledge above all else.

Penny Dunnard was sitting on a cliff, deciding whether to jump, when fate intervened. The sudden loss of her mother (her only family) was the final straw in a downward spiral of things going wrong. And then the comet hit, almost in Penny’s lap. It broke open on impact to reveal a large, red gem. Upon touching it, she discovered it was no ordinary stone, but the physical soul of an incredibly ancient sentient star. The gem fused with Penny, transforming her into a cosmic being of immense power. Now calling herself StarHeart, this new being travels the cosmos looking to any other Stars who might be out there.

Oh, all right. There are a few stories about how that million-parsec void started. Most of them boil down to some supernatural being getting mad or lazy or hungry. Of course that’s completely absurd. Obviously to have cleared that area would have taken about thirty black holes. And no one should believe that, because that void bends around the galactic center in an arc completely unlike a black hole or group of black holes would travel.

I’m feeling hungry myself. Probably just nervy about an upcoming interview. Where’s that coupon for a pizza with EVERYTHING?

    http://www.heromachine.com/wp-content/legacy/forum-image-uploads/linea24/2013/10/The-Aniean.png

The Aniean is the first Felian spaceship to be designed and disembarked since the last launch 400 years ago. It was designed by Aylen, a Crystal Felis (cat), who was rediscovering the designs of a magic-fueled spaceship. He based his own design on the Anieas of Felinae, which are dragons that have the long body of Asian dragons and the wings of a dragonfly, and they are huge. The Aniean is the first Felian spaceship to use magic as a fuel and a power source. Because of this, it has the ability to teleport, camouflage itself, and have shields without the use of advanced technology

  10. Anyone else having problems with “Undo” zapping half of their design?

The felled colossus of King Nut, last ruler of Aaru, circa 120,000 BC. Time and the harsh post-event ecosystem have eroded almost all traces of this ancient civilization. Humans became first aware of the Aaruvans in 1976 AD.
