As they try to cover the positions left vacant by workers during the pandemic, several firms are currently in a bind. Some businesses are even making modifications to their employment practices in an effort to get back on track. The human resource manager for Module X Solutions speaks with KSLA. We would hire 30 people today if we could, the woman declared. As the economy grows again, they are having trouble filling positions, according to Brantley. Examples include finding qualified applicants who might not appear for interviews or the same applicant to whom we extended job offers who fails to appear for orientation. According to data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the country's unemployment rate stayed at 3.6 percent in May. In order to increase the number of applicants, Brantley claims they have lowered their standards for potential candidates. As a second-chance employer, she explained, "We had to overhaul our prescreening process with a background check and change our background for drug screening."
