As you can tell, I've moved back to the old theme -- the new one was woefully underperforming. Sorry for all the changes, but I reckon this one will remain for quite a while, as it's certainly proven itself to be ... superior.

The Secret Lair
Jeff I am so sorry the new format didn’t do well for you.
I always want HM to do well.
But being set in my ways and eyesight, I admit that I prefer the old way better.
Sorry
I liked both ways well enough, but I like this one better without the ‘Space Solider’ ! Much better. Hope your other tweaks show profit.
I agree that “it’s all in what you’re used to.” While the old look is rather busy, the blog shows what others have created with HeroMachine. User content is free promotion. Also, the blog is a great introduction to the HeroMachine community.
The new look was clean and promoted HeroMachine the product. Which no one would argue. After all, AFD Studios is a business. The new look just lacked that “jump on in” warm welcome.
The desire for aesthetic and need for revenue can be balanced. Understably, that’s going to take a lot of time and effort. Ever since the loss of UGO support, I can’t imagine… The best to you, Jeff. As always, thank you for your commitment to HeroMachine.
Besides, if you were to stay with the new look, you would have to make a lot of us old-school HMers “disappear.” 😉
