Big Question ♯17

So, as we near the premier date of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's big step onto the small screen with Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D, I thought it would be a good time to ask, which comic book property would you like to see given a shot at a new TV series? It could be another addition to the MCU, a Marvel property with no connection to the Avengers or even a DC hero. But, I want you to think Live Action here, so no 'toons.

Personally, I'd like to see The Runaways given a chance. They're an interesting team, not one of Marvels big hitters, but they've got enough of a following for it to work. You've already got an age demographic set out in the age of the characters and you can deal with social subjects, connect with the audience.

So, what do you guys want to see?

An updated “Challengers of the Unknown,” where a multiracial team (with one chick, naturally) survive the crash of a plane sabotaged by terrorists. Their lawsuit against the owner of the plane sets them up with operating capital for their adventures.

‘Heroes For Hire’ Should be cool. and there is already a ‘Punisher’ tv Series planned for… someday

    Deadpool and Hydra Agent Bob.

    Delirious AL:
    Deadpool and Hydra Agent Bob.

    That would be hilarious.

Personally I’ve always though the X-Men would make a great TV show. But not the original/core X-Men because, frankly, I’m sick of them. But there’s a bunch of lesser known and interesting characters in the X-Men comics that they could chose from.

maybe a younger version of the she hulk? I loved it in comics where she broke the “fourth wall” in the comics~ but Please first GET IT RIGHT!

  6. Avatar Worf says:

Just as a nod to our benefactor Jeff… Legion of Super-Heroes. Would be fun and I think it has a lot of episodic potential.

  7. Sandman or Etrigan, the Demon.

  8. Avatar the Yeti says:

Once they get the DC cinematic universe set up, they should do a Teen Titans show starting with the originals (Robin/Nightwing, Wonder Girl, Kid Flash, Aqualad, and Speedy) and then add in Starfire, Beast Boy, Raven, and Cyborg.

  9. Avatar Katmir says:

“Power Man & Iron Fist”, cos you know, it’s more believable than… “Young Avengers” on The CW. Hardy Har.

    The Atomic Punk:
    Sandman or Etrigan, the Demon.

I’d love to see an Etrigan tv show!

Change, change the form of man.
    Free the prince forever damned.
Free the might from fleshy mire.
Boil the blood in heart of fire.
Gone, gone the form of man,
    Rise the demon Etrigan!

The other day i was talking with some friends about the possibility of a Nightwing series. Dick’s always been Batman’s sidekick, and in the last few years has featured as a member and leader of the Teen Titans and Young Justice (in animation). i think a live action series would be a great way to get him get a little solo spotlight. They could build up to the Titans the way Smallville eventually built up a Justice League, but keep the focus on Nightwing.

  12. Avatar Arioch says:

Nightwing would be easily doable, and would greatly benefit from the batman craze.

Etrigan would be great, with a melange of detective stories, action, magic and horror, but I fear it’s be too hard and costly to do due to the sfx. As would she-hulk, sadly.

I think Daredevil could work as a series – Superhero lawyering.

I can’t imagine it’d be overly costly either – probably about the same as Arrow, though with some extra effects for his radar sense
