Layering 101

Doyle's been doing some fun stuff with, and has graciously put together a series showing how to assemble a scene there using HM3 parts. He notes that you CAN do all this in HM3 but that due to the crashing issues (hey, it's an alpha!) it's fairly painful to do so.

Enjoy! If you have questions or comments about the series, by all means speak up in the comments.

HammerKnight, I knew there would come a day where you would do something so mindblowingly amazing that I would have to stop, do a double take, and admire what you’ve done. Well done, sir.

    Thanks Joshua.

Very nice. I prefer photoshop, but works too.

I’ve never used either to be honest.

The only drawing programs I have actually used is HM3 and Paint (editing bitmaps pixle by pixle). Most of my drawings up until now have been using paper, pens, pencils, paints and my own two hands.

    . . . I feel so anachronistic.

Still, the old fashion way works sometimes. 🙂

Here’s an old drawing from when I was back in high school (Grade 10 I think?).

@Me, Myself & I, great drawing. I love to draw with my own two hands also, but I don’t always have the time. HM3 is just so much quicker for me.
