(From "Amazing Man" number 6, 1939.)
If he plugs all of them he won’t have time to save the other guy.
Holy racist-ranting, Batman! Tell me that’s the villain Amazing Man takes down in this issue!
No, it’s a back-up story of the Brave White Jungle Patrol versus the Howling Black Cannibal Savages. The red-clad white guys are the Jungle Patrol law enforcement types, and the blue-clad white guys are poachers who usually fight the other white guys, but in this case since a THIRD group of white guys is being attacked by Black guys, it’s “all white guys come together to fight the evil Darkies” time.
A different time and place. Mostly. In defense of the issue, the “savages” are normally peaceful but have been driven crazy by someone smuggling hooch to them.
Wow. Just. Wow.
Teddy Ruxpin Turner and Hooch!! A nasty combo… Especially when they’re… CANNIBALS! “Blood and Booze”, a Spike Lee/Tarantino Joint. Rated R, starts Friday at a theatre near you.
After that gentlemen finished his impassioned speech, one of the men in the party finds the bravery to speak up:
“Uh, what if that white man is Hitler?”
“Doesn’t matter, he’s my Füh — I mean, he’s a white man none the less, and we’re risking our lives to free him from those dark-skinned bums! Who knows what they’ll do to him?! He could already be violated!”
“Sir, if I may? This tribe of Africans is thought to be peaceful. Legend has it that they are the guardians of the Garden of Eden–”
“Mister, you quiet that kind of talk, hear me? A negro is a negro, got it? It’s a scientific fact that they are disposed to violence and stupidity. Now, let’s go…”
O-O…dear god….what monster is this?
That’s the guy who dies next, right? This is how horror movies usually go.
I was quite disturbed by his comments about ‘plugging’ anyone who doesn’t follow him. He must have the libido of a porn star.
