It is once again time for one Caption Contest, this week I want your best replacement dialogue for this image:

BB & BG 1

The normal rules apply, which are: You are limited to Three (3) entries which are due by 5:00 PM Eastern Time on Tuesday May 12th. Of course I as always expect you to keep your entries no worse than PG-13 in nature and that you follow all the normal rules of the forum when writing your caption for the above image. That being said I wish you all Good luck!

No Gallery Grabs This Week

Sorry guys, I was too busy to do it yesterday and by the time I’d finished everything I was too tired to do the post. Can’t do it at the moment because I’m at work and the work guest WiFi is terrible and lags out if you have more than one tab open at a time so that rules out writing the post, looking at a gallery and inserting pictures into the post (and I can’t use employee internet connection because this isn’t work related). So yeah, it’ll be back next week hopefully if this things aren’t as hectic.

In the mean time, why don’t you guys use the comments below to leave suggestions on which galleries we should be visiting in the future.

JR out.

Character Design Contest ♯120- Film Posters

Ok, let’s see if we can one up last weeks challenge shall we. Your challenge this week is to create a poster for a film of your own creation (don’t worry, you don’t have to make the film for the challenge), like the ones you see for new movie releases outside your local cinema or on bus stops. Now your poster must include the film title, the names of at least two of the starring actors (which you may make up if you so wish) and a release date for the film. You may also want to include a tag line on your poster (a snappy sentence that is used to entice the audience in) but it is not compulsory.

So, that’s the remit, go do it.

As per usual, no limits on entries and the contest will close at midnight Saturday (blog time). Please read the contest rules before entering, have fun and good luck.

Rules for posts, contests, and challenges that I am hosting: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warnings. Only post characters that you have either created for this contest specifically or you know for certain have never been entered to a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.

Character Design Contest ♯119 (Comic Book Covers 2) Poll

Character Design Contest ♯118 (Non-Standard) Winner

Well, that was nice. We haven’t managed to break the 200 vote mark on one of the contest polls for a while, but this week we did. And unlike the last two polls, it wasn’t a major walk-over for our eventual winner, though they did take the win by a noticeable margin. And, if I’m being honest, it was kinda expected (much like last week winner was no surprise) that Carmen‘s Just As Good As A Spotlight would win this week. Congrats Carmen and well done to all our other entrants.

Open Critique Day #24

Ok, I’m back (for real).

As for how this goes, you post a work of yours, finished or WIP (aka work in process, for those who are new to abbreviations), and then others give you critiques on your work.  I do not mind if you post the occasional non-HM picture or piece of writing. Just make sure that you only post pictures that are your own design and not any that copyrighted or based off of copyrighted characters.

Also, if you post a work, it is highly recommended that you also give someone else a critique.

Character Of The Week: Jeimuzu- Iro Kenshi

Me last Friday: “Ok, I’m going to make a concerted effort to try and feature someone new for this weeks COTW.”
