Okay, perhaps saying it is the best Comic Book Movie EVER is a tab bit of an exaggeration however that is exactly how I felt when walked out of the theater! Guardians of the Galaxy for me, was the best Comic book movie I have ever seen in my Opinion. Now you may be wondering way I keep saying Comic Book Movie instead of Superhero move? Well that's because Guardians did not feel like a Superhero movie at all! No in fact it felt Much move like an Epic  Sci-Fi, Action Adventure, Space Movie, and you know what? For this title it worked PERFECTLY!

SO while I did put a spoiler warning on this post, I will attempt to keep the spoilers to a minimum, and with that said, lets get into what I liked and didn't not like about this movie.

I have to say that the first thing that stands out about the movie is GROOT!!  Serious, for a character that only says variations of the same line over and over again " I am Groot" he just stole the show! The chracters mannerisms, and antics move that made of for the lake of a true speaking role in the movie and some of the best scenes in the movie were all because of Groot! Next The Characters interaction with each other and the casting.

I have to say the Members of the Guardian of The Galaxy team had some great chemistry between them and all the actors pulled off their roles perfectly. Even Dave Batista, whom though I am a pro-wrestling fan, I was a bit leery of at first. Lets face it Pro-wrestlers no not tend make very good actors (with a few exceptions  like "Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson"  coming to mind)   but he brought something to the role of Drax the Destroyer that made the character very entertaining, especially in his interactions with the other characters. The CGI for the characters was also Amazing! Groot, Rocket and Thanos all looked real. A really good first rate job!

I also like how that characters back stories were handled in this movie. We are given a teams of characters, the average movie goer has never heard of before, and we are given enough backstory for each of them to make us care for these misfits without taking up half the movie explaining who they are! I feel that it was a very well written movie, with a lot of action that for me at least never felt bogged down by the need to explains things to you! Over all I only had two issues with the film that had me disappointed

The first issue was the Nova Corps. The way they were presented in this movie which was basically a regular old police force in space, if a more high tech version. While this was in keeping with the Space Epic fell of the movie instead of the superhero genre, I think it does a disservice to the Nova Corps as a Movie franchise in it's own right as they Rank up there in power almost as much as DC's Green Lantern Corps. I feel that instead of depowering the Nova Corps to fit the movie they wanted to tell, that a different location other then the planet Xander as the movies primary setting thus leaving the Corps out of the film all together.

The Second issue I had with the movie, wasn't with the movie itself, but rather with the after credit clip! Marvel has given us some very nice teasers, and hints to what there future movie plans are with the clips they put at the end of their movies over the last several years, so I remained in my seat in the movie theater, with baited breath to see what epic clue, or teaser that marvel had planned. I endured that extremely long and boring Guardians Of The Galaxy Movie credits and got to see ,,,,,,,,,, HOWARD THE DUCK!!! ... WTF Marvel?  really? I was hugely disappointed by this, and if I had known what I was in store for I would have left the theater the moment the credits started rolling.

Oh well, such is life, and even these two missteps as I see them to be, could not ruin my  overall enjoyment of this movie. and My final recommendation to you all  is to go see this movie if you haven't already as I give it a 9 out of 10 stars. If I can find the time I plan on seeing it a second time, I just don't plan on staying for Howard a second time!
