I take comedy very seriously. But not as seriously as this guy:
Come up with the best caption for the comic book panel above and, if your entry is selected, you’ll win your very own custom black and white illustration of whatever you like (within reason) by yours truly. As always, the rules are simple: Only three entries per person, put your dialog in the comments to this post, and keep it relatively clean (as in, appropriate for a broadcast TV sitcom).
Good luck everyone!

The winner of Caption Contest 24 is … JonnyDemon!
The other honorable mentions from this week were:
- EnderX: Turn…the lights…OFF!
- Ballin’ Boy: Roaches do check out. In fact baby, I’m checkin’ you out right now.
- HalLoweEn JacK: There’s only one round left. Here, take this, and remember to aim low. His brains aren’t in his head…
Many thanks to all who entered! Keep your eyes open for your next chance to win your own custom black and white illustration later today.

The first “HeroMachine Mini” based on the “FaceMaker” code is now up for your entertainment purposes!
The Tony Hawk Tricked Out Skate Deck lets you build your own skateboard HeroMachine-style, with all the features of the new version available. You can scale items, move them around with your mouse, set your own custom colors, and more. I think it turned out nicely and is pretty fun to play around with, even if you’re not much of a skateboarder. Let me know what you think if you check it out!

As we discussed a couple of weeks ago, I’m going to try something that is, as far as I know, unprecedented in the comic book world: Comic Book Improv. If you’re daring enough to take part in what very well could be an unmitigated disaster the coolest thing ever to appear on the Internet, join me after the jump.

“Better late than never” is my motto when it comes to movie reviews and employment, so in order to keep the latter I shall obey the former and offer up my belated review of “Hellboy II: The Golden Army“. For those of you who, like me, have a short attention span, here’s the one-sentence summary:
The great first half of “Hellboy II” makes it worth seeing on the big screen, but the slow and disappointing second half should make you catch a matinee instead of paying full price.
The full review is after the jump.
