you must of been in the process of adding Cadence when I started viewing them, cause Cadence(which turned out to be my fav)wasn’t up yet!I love this collection very cool colors each one gives it’s own feel, very cool!

    Hammerknight

Great work, I like all four.

Scatman, I posted them and then realized that I had forgotten to add the black bracers of binding to Cadence and Resplendence.

It’s been fun trying to do these while using only a few contrasting colors and using names/descriptions that end in the -ence/-ce sound. I had thought to use the torches as a good scale for both series, but only got really serious with Malevolence and Valiance since I wanted to convey giant and floating height respectively.

Thanks so much! It seems like I’ve been successful so far! :)

Yes you can. Good example. I also use it to get a reflection/shine effect off of metal items.

Thanks a lot! Will start playing around with this. :)

Notes: Malevolence is a giant. I hope that the torches can provide a little bit of scale. The proportions of Resplendence are a little off and that was the intent.

    More Rituals.

Malevolence is the embodiment of the spirit of kindness and malice. She will perform unparalleled acts of the giving spirit or of ill-intent. Beware the golden rule when it comes to Malevolence.

Cadence is the embodiment of the creation of music to move the soul to great heights of ecstasy or sadness. The evocation of profound emotion is a force of nature and can never truly be predicted.

Resplendence is the embodiment of vanity. He will make you attractive or ugly either on the inside or outside such that you lose or gain the object of your desire. What has been gained or lost can turn into a curse.

Valiance is the embodiment of courage and cowardice. She gives great courage or awesome cowardice to face your challenge. A choice that can lead to doom.

Question: Do the bracers on Crush’s arm giver her the ability to bulk up or is that just a cool, unrelated feature? Either way, I like that you changed up the typical female build for the character, while still making her attractive in another way.

The implications of the spikes on Demonica’s costume fighting style is pretty scary-making, nevermind the hand or the fangs!

This might be an obvious and/or dumb question, but you would use this same technique to do lighting effects, right? I’ve seen some pretty amazing effects…a great, recent example would be like DJuby’s Rustbuckett (http://www.heromachine.com/wp-content/legacy/forum-image-uploads/djuby/2012/10/djuby-rustbuckett.JPG).

I really dig Wrathstar. The eyes and chest piece really caught my eye and I love the contrast with the other, more dominant colors.

I really love Succubus, but it seems like the background is taking away from what you were doing with the hands. I can’t quite make out the detailing/features.

Myleena, aka Nexus, is the adopted daughter, summoned from the void, and apprentice of Noreen. She is able to harness the nearly infinite energies from the Void. She is marked as a being of the Void with horns.

I tried to do a multiple effect to represent the speed. Don’t know if it works, but this is my 2nd entry in the speedster challenge.

I created a knight for HammerKnight’s knighthood challenge so I decided to make the character royalty as well, complete with ceremonial sword and scepter of rule.
