    Something a little different.
According to theoi.com, she’s technically a centauris, but this isn’t the place for hair-splitting. When it’s all said and done, she’d just like a nice latte.

Inspired by the Singing Shark meme. No, I don’t think he’s quite so rude… In fact I think he’s rather of a crooner.
Face it, you wouldn’t be surprised if his signature tune happened to be “Beyond The Sea”, would you?MrShark.png

Good heavens I’d love to make a Faith No More reference here.
And I should have done this much sooner.

Hello! As things stand right now, I live in Austin, Texas and work for a tech company here as a contract security guard. I was introduced long ago to HeroMachine Mk1, lost touch, and have since come back. Boy am I liking what I’m seeing. And getting to play around with…Smile
A lot of the characters I’ve made either pop up in my head or come roundaboutly via my time playing (the soon-to-be late lamented) City Of Heroes.
I’m 41, an Army vet, and have a 16 year old son. When not Machining or working, I’m either reading, plugging around on World Of Tanks, or sticking pieces of plastic together (If the box says “Supermarine Spitfire Mk IXC”, why am I holding a 1972 Dodge Challenger R/T? Confused).

    My first offering!Smile

This is a mild freestyle of a VBSS-tasked swabbie. VBSS means “Visit-Board-Search and Siezure”. These folks (Navy SEALs or Coast Guard) board other vessels for missions ranging from customs or maritime safety inspections to anti-smuggling and anti-piracy actions.

Thanks D, for both the moral support and the idea to go bucketing.
Personally, I use AVG instead of Norton, but there are places much more appropriate to go about merits and demerits of each. Laugh

If you’re taking ideas, Mr. Blade, how about a plain old pirate-style hook? Kinda like the one offered as a zombie option, but not all rotten and corroded looking.
Male and female, I would think it’d get some good use here.

Looking back at things (i.e. actching up on this thread) –
I look forward to seeing the tech boots in the selection. They make me think of an item I saw in a security provider catalog, armored shin and knee guards. Think like what a baseball catcher wears (looking more like what they had in the 70s-80s at least), but slightly more robust.
Of course there’s the heavily padded training sort, and the “Attica all over again” ones.

Right now, I’m splitting my time between 3 books, if only because different spirits move at different times.

Tank Men by Robert Kershaw is about armored warfare from World War I and II as seen by the tankers themselves. There’s little varnish and the interviewees come across with a lot of emotion, good and bad, and as real people instead of cardboard caricatures.
The Most Powerful Idea In The World by William Rosen. The story of the invention of the steam engine (the machine itself, not necessarily the choo-choo sort), and the understanding of Steam Itself. While steampunk seems to have been beaten to death as of late, it’s interesting focusing on that word’s first syllable.
You Never Give Me Your Money – The Battle For The Soul Of The Beatles by Peter Doggett. The Fab Four after Brian Epstein’s death and the upheavals involved, from the Apple Corps debacle, Yoko Ono, the Allen Klein/Eastman management battle, and they fought to be four individuals instead of one group.
