Minecraft Java And Bedrock Editions Are No Longer Separately We hope that you're not too attached to either the Minecraft Java or Bedrock editions of one the most popular building games available on PC. Souldevteam and Mojang confirmed that they'll end the game on the 7th of June. You may be confused by the existence of two versions of Minecraft on PC and Mac, the Java and Bedrock editions. PCGamesN offers a helpful guide to help you understand the differences between the two versions. If you've paid for one, you won't have access to the other. This is a bit absurd. Mojang and Microsoft are clearly in agreement as they have announced (thanks to Neowin) the Minecraft Java Edition and Bedrock Edition. This single-purchase edition of Minecraft on PC replaces the separate editions. It will be available on the 7th of June and will be "the all-inclusive and standard version of the vanilla Minecraft for Windows PC." Anyone who has either the Java or Bedrock editions will see it be upgraded to the combined edition, with no further purchase required This should happen instantly - but "it could take between two and three days for the game to be available when we release it to all eligible players." Additionally, Minecraft players should be allowed to play across versions without difficulty. Mojang confirms that "Java and Bedrock will remain distinct games that have their own distinct features," with the only difference is that you don't have to purchase them separately and can access both from the same Minecraft launcher. Good news all-around, really, except for anyone who has recently purchased both separately. It should make the downloading of Minecraft much simpler.
