Mojang Bans Brands from Building Minecraft Promo Maps And Mods Mojang is putting its blocky foot down when it comes to brands and Minecraft. In an open letter to the community on its site, Owen Hill, the director of creative communications for the company has laid out new guidelines that are specifically targeted at ad agencies, companies and any other non-gamer entities seeking to make use of Minecraft's huge user base. MINECRAFT SERVERS To get an idea of how large the base of users is, consider that, in 2014 the creator Markus "Notch" Persson revealed that the PC version had more than 100 million registered users. So what does that translate to? You can now be done with awkward promotions such as CaptainSparklez's giant-sized, working cellphone or Disney's commissioning maps for Tomorrowland to promote the film. MINECRAFT SERVER LIST Mojang allows you to do these things according to your own schedule and budget if you're an avid fan.
