Here’s Gordon, an explorer/archaeologist who deals with the occult and other dangerous artifacts. He was cursed with the Gorgon’s eye while in Greece and now whomever he looks at with his Left eye is turned to stone. To prevent this fate worse than death, he keeps the eye perpetually shut.

Salazar is a mercenary who has often crossed paths with Gordon. Despite being usual enemies, the two respect and like each other, actually considering the other a friend when they are not shooting at each other. Salazar’s employer and Gordon were looking for the fountain of youth, which they had tracked to a cave. Salazar was ordered to shoot Gordon while he ran away. After failing to shoot Gordon as he was escaping, his employer shot Salazar several times. Salazar’s body fell into a pool and the employer and the other mercenaries set off exploring. The pool began to glow as did Salazar’s wounds. His flesh began to heal as his eyes, tattoos, and hair all began to lighten and glow. The pool had repaired him and he was not happy about dying. He sought out his employer and killed him, saving Gordon in the process. He now guards the caves as its revenant protector.

I like the back stories of Gordon and Salazar. Very interesting…

Thanks and here is another set of characters with an interesting back story. The Reinhardt twins are the grandchildren of the hero Blitz who himself comes from the Jaeger line. After killing his brother, the grandfather renounced his Jaeger blood and sought to save lives with his newly required enchanted sword. His brother’s child survived the war and set to kill his uncle, keeping the Jaeger blood alive. Jaegers have an innate ability with weapons and enhanced senses, strength, and speed. The fight has raged onto the present, where the twins fight the current Jaeger.

The twins attend the institute. Johan is a mutant who can manipulate electromagnetic energy which he uses for superpowerful punches and kinetic blasts or as defensive shields. He fights as Donner. Anna wields the sword as the current Blitz. Together, they are thunder and lightning, the Reinhardt twins.

Here’s a contest entry. Landor is a scientist obsessed with mastering life. His experiments involve reviving the dead and he has succeeded, though none have sentience. When trying to subdue his first creation, a young pair intervened and his lab caught fire. The creature perished and Landor was badly burned. A biologist, Dr. Sina Zurat was interested in his work and the two fell in love. His next creation, a female, killed his fiancee and Landor was grief stricken. He did not even put up a fight when he got captured. Since then, he has escaped and continued his experiments with an even greater desire, so he can revive his beloved Sina.

The current Jaeger, Lukas has returned to the more mercenary heritage of his family. Where his grandfather fought for the nazis and his father for the East germans and Soviets, he is a free agent. He uses his mystical skill with weapons for whomever pays most. This has put him at odds with his american cousins, but he does not seek them out. He is still a formidable foe and one of the best hitmen around.

I love Fall! It really takes me back to when I was a kid.

Thanks and that was what inspired me to do it. Walking over fallen leaves, hearing that satisfying crunch. It brought me back to fun times.

Here is my contest entry, Cascade. She is the current leader of the defenders, having taken over after Delta’s injury. She is a powerful hydrokinetic and she is also incredibly intelligent. She’s a quick thinker, not a real strategist like Delta. She rolls with the punches and dishes them back even harder.

Here is Apogee, the flying member of the Defenders. He is second in command to Cascade, formerly third in command to Delta. He is a mix of the two leaders. He has some of Delta’s seriousness and some of Cascade’s toughness, but he also is more joking than his two friends. He acts a a cautious buffer to the wait and see and rush into danger mindsets. He is now the only male member of the team, as the other male, Jacob Rusch, left after Delta did.

Jacob Rusch is an aptly named speedster. He was part of the Defenders as Rush, but left when Delta was injured. He was the one Charlie pushed out of the way when he got struck. The guilt of not being fast enough to spare his friend pain, drove him to quit the team. He doesn’t want to put himself in the situation where someone else gets harmed because of him.

Here’s the last member of the original roster and current Defender, Warq. Warq is a scientist from another planet who crashed on Earth. Warq’s species has no gender, though he prefers to be addressed by male pronouns rather than be called it. He is incredibly intelligent and is the teams resident gadgeteer. He is the one who designed Delta’s leg brace. Warq found a home on earth and he is willing to defend it with his life.
