Notes: Recently inducted into the Soul Wielder Corps, Sempi Turner is some what of a prodigy. One of the youngest academy graduates, she has mastered not only her specialist branch (Fire) but has attempted at least two Mixed Magic spells. Her talents in Soul Wielding, as well as her outstanding academy record, have caught the eye of Doctor Heinriechs, who has already taken her on to his Truth Corp team. She appears to be on good terms with Ruma of the Guardian Core.
World Building Fact: Soul Wielders carry spell books with them at all times. These books are enchanted by the user so they store any spells that the user has learnt, in such a way that just the act of the user opening the book and saying the name of the spell would cause it to be cast. This is because some advanced spells can be very complicated, and miscasting them would be dangerous for the Wielder, so having the exact spell so readily available decreases the danger. The more spells and the more advanced the spells entered into the book, the larger the book will become, however, due to the nature of the enchantment, the book does not gain any weight with the increase in size.

Notes: The head of the Truth Corp within the Valaran Soul Wielder Corps, Doctor Heinriechs is one of the most respected experts on ancient Soul Magics in Valara. In his youth, he was a noted and decorated Commander in the Soul Wielder Corps, leading many successful campaigns and incursions against the Juturan army and strategic targets in Juturan territory (see files for military record). However, injury, alongside the loss of his wife, ended his active service career and he was tasked with discovering the whereabouts of The Truth, being, as he is, the foremost expert on ancient magics. However, caution would be advised, considering Heinriechs mental state following the loss of his wife, it is likely that he would use The Truth for his own ends before the benefit of his countrymen.
Character Building Fact: Mallory Heinriechs (Gade’s wife) was also a member of the Soul Wielder Corps. She was killed on a mission with her husband to verify and retrieve a suspected Heartcore sighting in enemy territory. It was the only mission the pair had worked on together that ended in failure. Also, given Doctor Heinriechs reaction post-mission, it is suspected that he may have caused his wife’s death, however these rumours have never been confirmed.
Yeah, kinda see what you mean, but as you say, it’s the coat. It’s not as bad on this one but in one of the up-coming ones it’s really noticeable.

Notes: The strongest member of the Truth Corps, Walker is a formidable Wielder, currently being tested by the military council for Level 5 Wielder status. It is also worth noting his capability in other forms of combat. Some of his records, such as his academy record, have been missing since the last Juturan strike and the information must be re-ascertained, to eliminate the possibility of enemy intervention. Notes: The son of Doctor Heinriechs, Oliver lives on site and works as his fathers research assistant. Though possessing the ability to access Soul Magic, he is not trained by any sanctioned authority, instead having been partially trained by his father. Suffering from respiratory problems from a young age, he was rejected from the Academy and would not be able to pass the medical or physical tests to join the Corps, even if he was able to fully wield Soul.Character Building Fact: Oliver is gay and has a crush on Cyrus. Out of all of his friends, only Sempi knows this. She found this out after she agreed to go to the Solstice Celebration with him to save his embarrassment of either rejection, going alone or what the senior officers in attendance would think of him. Though she is pledged to silence, Sempi is supportive of Oliver being more open, encouraging him to tell Cyrus his feelings and also come out to his father.
Valaran Army: Personnel Files
Name: Yarin Mako

Base: Central Security Station, Kalhyra
Notes: The commander in charge of the squadron stationed in the capital, Kalhyra. Her early life was spent in a Juturan Labour Camp after her village’s sector was over-run by the enemy. In her teens she escaped, a notable feat in of its-self, and made her way to Valaran controlled territory, a week long trek over some of the most dangerous war zones in the south. Upon coming of age, she enlisted into the army, swiftly rising through the ranks through a combination of resilience, intelligence and dedication. Placed in charge of the Central Security Station, her main role is to assist Commander Heinriechs Truth Corps, a possibly invaluable asset to the war effort, although Commander Mako has put in numerous requests to be transferred to a more front-line squadron.
Character Building Note: Yarin mako lost her eye during her escape from the labour camp. Her other numerous scars came from either punishments within the camp (most notably the large dual scars down her chest) or during combat. The necklace she wears bears the symbol of Valara and was gift from another prisoner during her time in the camp.

Notes: A second generation Juturan immigrant, Kortz has shown extraordinary resolve in dealing with the problems his parentage caused him and his family. Gaining entry into the academy through sheer skill and hard work, he has proved to be a great asset to the Truth Corps, an intelligent scholar and brilliant translator. However, whilst he is still part of the Corps, he shall stay under observation, as per army policy.
Valaran Soul Wielder Corps: Guardian Core
Name Kaibai Minamo

Strongest Magics: Desolation Blaze, Dragons Wrath
Notes: The strongest member and leader of the Guardian Core, Kaibai Minamo is not only noteworthy from his power, but also for his discipline and control. He undertakes rigorous training daily, physical, magical and mental. His assignation was given to him even before he joined the Guardian Core, as he famously slew a Wyrm that attacked the town of Malnaroa whilst he was still part of the Corps, the first Wielder in a century to fight and kill a dragon.
World Building Fact: The Guardian Core is a quartet of the four strongest Soul Wielders in Valara, who act as the Valaran King’s personal body guard. They also oversee the activities of all Corps divisions, approving missions, academy teachings and promotions within the Corps ranks.

Valaran Soul Wielder Corps: Guardian Core
Name: Yura Illex
Designation: The Angel
Soul Branch: Light
Strongest Magics: Radiant Ascent, Fates Bound (Mixed Magics, Light/ Death, Level 6- Counter Spells)
Notes: The current Light Wielder of the Guardian Core, Kaibai Minamo may be the strongest of the Core, but Yura Illex is surely the most important. As long as the Guardian Core has existed Light has always been represented, as it is the only branch of magic to contain Counter Spells against the Death Branch. The Light’s job amongst the core is simple, if a great enough threat appears, they must destroy it using the Fates Bound spell (the only spell of the Death Branch that is allowed to be taught, and then only by the Light of the Core to their chosen successor). The Fates Bound spell ties the fate of the caster to that of the caster of the last Death Branch spell; put simply the spell is a suicide pact. Yura Illex personally, always appears full of cheer and a love for life. However, this behaviour has been noted amongst many of her predecessors, as a way of coping with the burden of their purpose.
Character Building Notes: Yura and Sempi were neighbours growing up and Yura often babysat Sempi, making the two very close, almost as close as sisters.
