Thanks Torog, but only the first panel is all Hero Machine. The night vision and the brighter closeup were edited with an app on my Macbook called Comic Life. The three panel page format and the captions were also Comic Life. Take a look at my thread in Covers, Poster and Cards section, Spectacular Comics Covers. The newest ones are a combination of HM art and CL editing.

One of these days Fader is going to give someone a heart attack with this ghost effect she likes to pull. It looks like her power is totally random or out of control, but quite the contrary. She has absolute control over the levels of transparency and opaqueness she displays and on which parts of her body, from skin to skeleton. She feels that these are bad guys anyway, so if someone freaks out and dies, so what. It is also her way of showing off. The black & white and sepia tone are edits of the photo app I use on the screen captures. I was experimenting with different effects and filters. I see that the detail of the circular system showing through her head and neck is lost in the filtered images.

My superhero persona, Dread. Used the Superman glyph maker on HM’s Facebook page and added it to the pic, but I won’t post that one until I get the OK. It’s Supe’s chest plate with instead of his S, what looks to me like a very stylized “L,” (my first name is Lawrence). Anyway, here’s me as Dread.

You could try to use the just chest and neck piece from Body/Male Military

Thanks, Rob! That looks like it will work much better. I used a standard torso, compressed it ad added a reshaped set of briefs from Male Spandex to fill out the chest.

Hey, yeah, WMD, you’ve come a ways since I’ve checked in. I think we HAVE made a visual artist out of you.
Back when the word poet was more like poi-ee-teez, it meant ‘maker, non-specific.’ Anyhow, I forget which poet laureate said, “Immature poets ‘borrow.’ Mature poets steal.” It’s a mark of the maturity of this community in general that we encourage such stealing from each other. Let’s get back to our thieving, shall we?

Thanks, Herr D, I’m trying! This piece took a couple of weeks going back and forth and I’m still not satisfied with it. The left character got shifted partway out the frame and I lost patience trying to get her back in the full picture. This is hardly finished. I like the concept I was going for, so I’ll probably start this again from scratch. Hoarfrost has the intentions of bringing about a new Ice Age and was in the midst of transforming the Sahara Desert into her base of operations, but African Violet had other thoughts on the matter.
