Ah…. SODWA. The tension! The drama!
Having looked at the Honorable Mentions so far I reckon I’ve got no chance with a cast of lightly edited re-workings. But v2.0 is a chance to do things better than before, so here’s my favourite entry, Fireball 2.0:May 9, 2012 at 11:59 pm #5331
OH MY GOD, fuzztone your work is simply amazing!!! The pose of the girl you use in your avatar is absolutely convincing, it’s so real and full of dynamics that you wait for her to go on with her acrobatics… Keep up your inspiring work!!!!!!!June 6, 2012 at 1:24 pm #6218
Blimey. You’re far too kind…
Anyhoo. I seem to be revising old characters at the moment. Had another go at Harlequin… all comments on contrast/highlighting welcome as I’m revising myself into knots…June 6, 2012 at 2:44 pm #6219
Tik Tak Tik Tak Here is the Clown.
So i made only a techincally critique.
The picture is a very solid concept. Very similar my works but i do this better. HE HE HE I only Joking. So the pose i very good, and naturally.
So the first thing is the left arm. It on her knee or before the leg.
The second is i hope i wrote down the calf (the lover legs). Is to thin i think. If you made a little fat is more perfect.
The coloring work is very solid, not perfect, but very good.
+1 point for the background very good concept. It’s dark background but the character is not loose in the background. +1 for the hand tattoo – nice idea.
Not an bad picture.June 6, 2012 at 3:30 pm #6223
Cheers mate. Here’s the “after”… (quite subtle!)
One thing I noticed is that uploading to the HM forums gives a much better image quality than using something like Photobucket (which seems to introduce all kinds of compression artifacts). Which means I can now see the insignia outlines I should have fixed the first time around… (mutter, curse). All done now, though.
As for the solid colouring work… I think that’s as far as I go; my PC’s a bit elderly and (to quote Mr Scott), the dilithium crystals cannae take much more…
Nice to play around with a high-contrast image, though, and it’s amazing the different effect that occurs with a big highlight (as on the lower leg) as to the smaller ones (which I’ve been using up to now).June 20, 2012 at 3:26 pm #6662
beautiful work!!!!I am dumbfounded!I love your posing and your backround work is gorgious!!beautiful work!June 22, 2012 at 1:28 pm #6731
Thanks very much indeed, Scatman!
For the random character name contest, I came up with “Cat Blaster”. It was done quite quickly (and a bit shoddily) and I thought that the character involved deserved better. So… here’s the Ruby Avenger:
Back story to follow…
The original Cat Blaster pic is attached, if you want to see it!June 23, 2012 at 11:34 am #6769
The Atomic PunkMember
Great effects and color scheme. Don’t know about the “cat blasting”…June 23, 2012 at 11:38 am #6771
That’s a great looking costume and that background is downright amazing.June 23, 2012 at 12:33 pm #6775
Cat Blasting is not something I recommend. But – as any cat owner knows – it is occasionally something that comes to mind (normally at about 4am when she’s woken me up to demand food…)June 23, 2012 at 12:42 pm #6776

Presenting.. Amazing Girl vs The Robot Snakes of (almost certain) Doom!
(Not decided on what era she’s from. Could be 1970s, could be last week…)January 13, 2013 at 8:00 am #17163
I like the effect on the platform, it looks like it’s half sunk into the sand. Quick question – is she underwater? It kind of looks like she is, but it’s not clear.
