    yes that’s also what’s on top of my head. A carrier ship like Iscarioto’s would be like the base on the invasion, but those triangular ships described would be the smaller frigates and attack ships.

    Iscarioto you have a gift man!!! The colours, the poses… everything with that poster is just perfect.

    Talking with JR19759 we were bomb-shelling the idea of Ascension teleporting their troops around, and how it’d make sense seeing as they get to the ground pretty damn quick. If that idea works then we could stick some sort of device on the bottom of the main Ascension ship. (i don’t see the smaller crafts possessing something like this as Ascension would just be too unbeatable)

    Thanks for the love, chums.

    I’ve done a write up in the story, intelligence report bit. Tried to make it sound official but got writers block and so forth. We can edit if you think the numbers or the times or whatever are out? Tried to tie in a couple of stories to it too, and leave room for one new one.

    What was mostly fun about it is for the first time, writing from the perspective of a narrator I decided was American, when my browser told me words were spelt incorrectly it wasn’t wrong for a change ;) Z, Mom, Neighborhood , yeah, I got this.

    JR and Alex, not sure if I’m comfortable bridging Science and Fantasy thing for Ascension, teleporting ships seems to be a bit Empty Vessely, I dunno. The way I figured it would work was just sheer numbers (and even more so later along the track with the Assimilators), rather than anything else. Plus the speed of which the fleet can move kind of gives the story a bit of time. On that note, there is no reason the ships cannot have boosters on them, with limitations, something to supercharge them to cover say 80km an a couple of seconds, but then they need to land and require refueling immediately afterwards. So they can hover above menacingly all day long if they so choose, but if they are needed urgently they can boost on over and deploy units? And then of course, this boost would have a story element, I’d love to see the pilot of a capital ship throw himself and his ship at a building to try take out one of the heroes.

    Wait wait wait, re-read what you said Alex. Maybe? I don’t now if I’m sold on the idea of teleporting them to the ground either, it’s a bit too, Star Trek? I feel like the ruggedness of the initial forces could be highlighted by having hulking metal capsules launched at the ground perhaps, from which the units step out, as well as the capability for the ships to land and deploy. But I’m open to discussion. Sell it to me!

    On that note, I like the sound of the two classes of ships, and have tried to work that into my recent post

    wow. when i’m busy writing i have trouble getting back to HMing. now i did a couple of drawings… and i couldn’t start writing!

    guess i’ll just sit back and enjoy the reading for the meantime guys…

    btw i was wondering about the whole shopping thing they’re doing at the mall. couldn’t figure out what Iscarioto and Herr D’s cooking up.. :)

    dang i can’t seem to start writing. i did this to somehow get inspired, but i really suck at backgrounds and colors. i really wish Iscarioto would try a hand on this. i dunno yet if there’ll come a scene that’ll make use of this panel though.

    Don’t worry about writers block and thaimage is mint I’d love to have a crack! On the note of the list im plannina biggish postgwhich should resolve it, which should utilise the powers of this gathered there. Teleportation and item spawning will be useful buy as they are gathering I’d like to have the non player tourist character to run off and almost get killed by a squad and write a passage where they all combine tk and gun Kara to take out the troops etc plan on using everyone who is there if anyone has any issues or suggestions voice them here? Sorry posting from my phone and auto correct is mental

    hey i think we have the same thing in mind! I was thinking of a lady or a child who reminds shu ji of his family along with the group who went astray and made the team search for them, which leads to a bloody encounter out the streets, or somewhere inside the mall perhaps? something like that. i even have a name for that civ girl in mind. kyrie dea maia? :)

    cool huge mall. we gotta find ways to illustrate it. yeah sure it’d be an honor to write with you, although i am not really a writer myself. and how do you check sent messages or your outbox in the mail? all i can see is the inbox. lol.

    I think that we might need to reconsider the artwork situation for this. Whilst the panels that have been done are brilliant, at the current rate we will have finished the entire story before all the panels are done. As it is not possible for everyone to put a huge amount of time into making the panels, might I suggest switching back to the ‘illustrate only the major events’ strategy.
    I’ll still do scripts for each chapter, in case we do come back to doing the full comics at a later date, but I think at the moment it might be a better idea to do fewer images.
    What do people think?

    Yes as i noticed as well. Although a full graphic novel would best represent this awesome story, we might not able to get it done at this rate. :)

    Well, I’ve got writers block anyway, so thinking I’ll have another crack at colouring. I had one mostly completed last week when I accidentally miss-clicked on one of the ads in HM and it took me away from the page, and I lost everything. Didn’t have the patience to start again.

    Moral of the story, save fast, save often kids.

    Will have another crack tonight, but yeah I mean, prioritised frames would be good, but every now and then whoever is keen can just chip away at some of the others?
