Now, Michael is a counselor at a juvenile hall by day, and by night he is a vigilante that the newspapers have named the “Guardian Angel.” He pinpoints people who are too weak to defend themselves from the scum of the city, and protects them. Kirby was born with his strange ability to stretch and mold the shape of his body. He was fortunate enough to have two wonderful parents who loved him regardless of his abnormality, and they raised him to be a sweet, friendly, and honest boy. When he expressed a desire to become a superhero, his parents were somewhat hesitant to allow him to do so, but it soon became apparent that any wound Kirby sustained would immediately heal itself. Kirby was basically invincible.In fact, Kirby is one of the few people to survive an attack by the supervillain Aaron Kruger. Kruger’s ability is body part substitution, in which he can replace any of his body parts with those of superhumans and then gain their powers. Kruger used his enchanted sword to lop off Kirby’s right arm. Although the boy was able to quickly re-grow the limb, he was never quite the same smiling, warm boy he had once been.
But, Kirby is still as good as he can be, and he still uses his incredible power to protect the citizens of Caligo from the threat of darkness.

Guy Galaxy: Good afternoon, Mr. Mayor.
ML: It’s morning, Guy.
GG: Er, so it is!
ML: Guy, were you aware that Caligo City’s colors are blue, red, and gold?
GG: I was very much aware of that, Mr. Mayor. And wodnerful colors they are. In fact, there seemed to be a lot of each in the waiting room outside….oh, crap.
ML: Yes, we would like to see our new champion wear these colors to show that he or she is a true spokesman and representative of our fair city. I have noticed that you are wearing black and yellow.
GG: And white.
ML: Yes. Anyway, can you please tell the council why you feel that you deserve to be our new champion?
GG: Well, because I really want to be. Say, are there any dental benefits that go along with this?
ML: No. What are your powers, Guy, as if it matters at this point?
GG: An excellent question, Mr. Mayor. I can project what I like to call “star fire” from my hands. It’s an energy that scientists have likened to that which is emitted by stars. It’s a powerful weapon against any and all of my enemies.
ML: I see. Are there any more questions from the council before we excuse Mr. Galaxy?
(silence)
ML: Yes, well that will be all. Thank you for your entry. We’ll let you know our decision once all interviews have been conducted.
GG: I’ve got a good feeling about this…

Isaac’s mutant ability to manipulate nearby gravitational fields surfaced at puberty. At first, this power was far less developed than it is today. He could lower the Earth’s gravitational pull on objects to make them easier to lift, and he could make himself levitate a few feet off the ground. As he grew older, however, the more he used his power the stronger it got, much like the flexing of a muscle. He became the superhero Gyro as his power evolved to allow him to repel objects from him or pull them through the air towards him, and cause objects to float through the air, somewhat like telekinesis. He lived a happy life as a public bus driver, married his sweetheart, and started a family with her. But suddenly one day, Isaac’s entire life began to fall apart around him. First he lost his job due to the lies of a co-worker. As a result, his wife left him with their two children. As she drove away her car was side-swiped by a tractor-trailer and all three were killed. A week later, Isaac’s house caught fire and burned down. Then his brother was murdered in a convenience store robbery. And finally, Isaac was arrested in connection with the untimely death of the co-worker who had gotten him fired. Through all of these events, Isaac had lost more and more of his mind until the last, when he found himself in handcuffs and in the back of a police car, he was finally, irrevocably changed. In an instant he raised the gravity of both officers in the front seat of the car to such a high degree that they were crushed. He freed himself from the car and fled into the wilderness. Over the next few days he used hi power to construct a new home, where he began to plot his revenge on the universe itself. After months of hiding, Isaac finally emerged as Axis, with his power now at terrifyingly expansive levels. To aid him in his quest for the destruction of Earth, he began to recruit other villains, until he had under his command an intercontinental network of super-criminals which he named the Sinister Society. Axis has now become so powerful and so insanely bent on annihilation, he has officially become the U.S. government’s #1 most wanted terrorist.Pictures:

Gabriel’s body acts like a furnace, generating extreme amounts of heat. His parents kept him out of public as long as they could, but when he was a teenager his power was discovered by the shadowy organization known as the Sphinx Foundation. They kidnapped the boy, implanted a mind-control chip in his brain, and outfitted him with a suit complete with gauntlets that concentrated his body heat and fired it from wrist-mounted cannons. He wreaked havoc at the command of Sphinx until during a battle with the Green Gremlin, his mind-control chip was damaged and he was freed from their control. Unable to convince a jury of his unfortunate predicament, Gabriel was sentenced to 10 years in the Superhuman Containment Facility.But he didn’t stay very long. A scientist working at Brainstorm Industries came to visit Gabriel, and explained that he had worked out a deal with the court system that he would accept responsibility of Gabriel in exchange for him being a test subject for the newly developed Hailstone Suit. This suit, which stored cryogenic freezing systems, could not be worn by anyone other than a few people on Earth, because it would freeze them after prolonged use. Gabriel’s body, however, was a perfect fit because it was always hot. He agreed to the tests and emerged from the Brainstorm Laboratories as Hailstone, an ice-slinging hero.

Hal’s death led to a non-stop manhunt that finally saw the Hangman locked away in the Thorne Hill Mental Institution.Never one to push many pencils, Hal never let his position let him get sedentary. He insisted on being part of the action for many cases. He was a hardcase, tolerating nothing short of efficient police work by his men. His only two soft spots were for his wife and daughter, Sabrina, who turned her grief at his death into the inspiration to become the swashbuckling vigilante En Garde.

Project 19 is a ragged group of heroes in the 22nd century. They are the last remaining resistance against the tyrannical Sphinx Foundation, which now rules the country with an iron fist and a cruel, hard hammer. America has been plunged into a second dark ages by the Sphinx executives. Anyone unable to pay the hefty price for comfortable living is forced to live in the ruins of the cities that once were, surviving on the remains. All five of these heroes were part of Sphinx’s efforts to create a superhuman, mentally controlled army. They were discarded when thought to be unable to cope with their bio-technologically installed powers.Half-Life was given extensive cybernetic implants, to the extent that half of his entire body is made of circuitry and metal. This gives him a computer-like brain as well as super strength and invulnerability on the bionic side.Only half of his body was finished because the project was scrapped before he could receive the full replacement surgery.
