I much prefer the second color scheme. Maybe a chest insingnia or a fancy belt gives a more visually bang. Nice work.
i have to go with the first one, the middle one makes him look like a bad-guy and the last is too superman as you said.

I agree with Bad-People, the first one is the best. The second is a bit too dark and could be misinterpreted as evil, and the black is too dark, eliminating any shading you had there, resulting in an almost silhouette like effect. The last is a little too reminiscent of a certain Kryptonian. So that leaves the first one, which is also a good color scheme.

Captain Marvel's weakness falls in the same mineral that gave him his abilities. The crystal known as Erridium emits radiation that is poisonous to Marvel making him lose all of his abilities and strength.

Scott Anderson was an astronaught, he and his team which consisted of his sister and his best friend Victor Williams were to be sent up to the new space station to help with some tests. Once on the space station Scott was sent out to a nearby asteroid to mine a unique mineral. What Scott didnt know is that the mineral reacted to exteme heats, slowly building up energy until it was released. The energy from the rock was radioactive in nature and altered Scotts DNA, awaking back on earth Scott first demonstrated his abilites while working out and then once again saving a young girl from a mugging. Not knowing what had happend to him he went to his closest friend Victor and confided in him for help. The same day Victor came to visit Scott there was a shooting down the street, as the two friends ran to help Scott realized it was his girlfriend Emily that had been shot. Furious Scotts abilities manifestied further as he flew off after the killer, confronting the man Scott was fuled with anger, wanting vengence Scott hesitated knowing this isnt what Emily would have wanted he stopped. As he did the man grabbed his gun as he did police arrived, turning the gun on the officers the man was killed. Returning home Scott was shaken with what had happend, trying to calm himself he thought back to a memory of Emily and how she had called him a hero and always knew he would do the right thing. Wanting to carry on her memory and that thought Scott decided to help protect the innocents and become a symbol for hope.
I'm planning on adding some more supporting characters to my gallery instead of just heroes and villains. I try to make new ones with every story I write and with the next series it should introduce a larger cast.

As a child John was orphaned at a very young age, growing up in an orphanage he quickly took to reading, expanding his knowledge he became a creative genius over the years gaining knowledge in fields like automotive, engineering, aviation and martial arts. He was finally put into a foster home at the age of 15 and was put into a regular school where he excelled in all of his classes, even being put into college level courses. On his high school graduation John was given a scholarship which he used to go through the Justice Institute and studied for years honing his skills and quickly became a police officer. With his brilliant mind he rose through the ranks to become a detective. John and his partner were called to a shooting, arriving on the scene the two approached the building where John and his partner were both shot, Johns partner died. The shooter was caught and put on trial but was surprisingly released, angry that his partner wouldn't get the justice deserved John knew the system was corrupt. Quitting the force John went back to school and quickly gained various degrees. Developing a pattern John put the rest of his money into stocks using what he developed he quadrupled his money to become a millionaire.

Not much is known about Shadows past, he was moved to Japan when he was at a young age with his parents. Being different from the other kids he was bullied. On a school trip he was attacked by a group of kids, trying to escape he came upon a dojo as he entered the Master welcomed him into his home and as he did the other children entered. The Master quickly delt with the trouble makers and took young Shadow under his wing as his apprentice. Shadow was taught how to defend himself and the discipline of martial arts. He became a skilled fighter and a master in a wide range of martial arts becoming vastly skilled in various weapons as well. The dojo was attacked one fateful night by a rival clan, everyone fought to protect their home but in the end only a handful remained and the dojo was burnt to the ground with Shadows master killed in the process. Vowing to avenge his adopted family Shadow scoured the globe and followed the rival clan for years which lead him to New York city where he caught the attention of a military general. Being approached by the General, Shadow was asked to join a special ops team. Being inducted into the Stars, Shadow became a valued member and became one of the worlds deadliest assassins.
