Welcome aboard BB. While it may not be in the near future Jeff is reasonably certain that UGO will eventually shut down there Heromachine forums as they no longer own the program. After all when they did own it they came close a number of times in shutting it down, the last time being just before they assigned Jeff to running it.

I don't envy you my friend, I've got upwards of a hundred characters, and you've got at least 5 or 6 times that many, but hey this transferring period may be a good time for touch ups or re-imaginings, I've already completely re-envisioned two of mine and have only moved 4 and worked up the 5th for the move.

I'm doing the same thing with adding updates to old characters.  Do you have all your pics saved?  It would be a shame to lose your archive.  Geez, we should have a contest on picking one of your creations and revisioning them here and you could be the all supreme judge. POWER!!!!!  Sorry, got carried away…

I'm game. I'd love to see fresh perspectives on my characters. I could post their bios and original pics and people could compete with re-makes. Definitely a possibility.

I have all of my characters saved on my computer and on a flash drive. Just never did trust just having the in the archive. You never can tell when something is going to get shut down.

Its a good idea to start, the more people that come over the faster the population will rise and we can start up hotw and everything. But i agree with all of you this is a great chance to tune up some characters.

I have my images ( the ones I want to keep ) On my Hard Drive, Up on Photobucket, and stored on Box.net

I have my characters backed up on photobucket, my hard drive and a couple duplicate discs. It would be a shame to lose these great works across all users, some very creative people here.

Is that like that shutterfly site? Where you can design the layout and actually have the book printed? My sisters have done that, two different sisters once a piece, for my mother.

For a real book you can even do it at Wal Mart and a few other places. Isia has done a few of them and they are cool. What I was talking about was to make books with PDF creator so they can be seen online. I have to many characters to do a real book it would cost to much. lol

What Browser are you using BB? This forum's tool bar doesn't play nice with Internet Explorer.  If you are not using IE, HammerKnight posted a tutoral on how to post pics here:

Unfortunately you will need to upload them one at a time, and after one or two pictures have been uploaded either wait a short period of time to upload the next one, or choose a different folder to upload to.  I think I need to research this problem a bit and then talk to Jeff about it see if we can fix it.  My personal recommendation is if you plan on posting a lot of pictures in a single session to upload them to photobucket or other photo sharing site, then just put the direct link to the picture in the URL box of the uploader here. That will be quicker as you can mass upload all your pictures to photobucket.  That's basically what I am doing. Any picture that I am not planning to tweak and upgrade in the near future is being posted here from my photobucket. The ones I am working on are being uploaded here one at a time when they are finished.
