Part of joining a new community is sitting back for a bit and getting the lay of the land. If you choose to charge in anyway, just be prepared that you're going to commit some faux pas. And get called on them.

I got your private email about widescreen. This is pretty basic so I don't want to do a blog post about it, and since I can't email you privately, this is the only option.

To do a widescreen, just choose the "Widescreen Layout" option from the Export menu. That's it. There are four options there depending on how big you want it.
