when i save a character on the HM3 site, where on my computer is the file saved? i dont mean exported. in the past when i ran a cleaner on my computer i lost my HM3 saved characters.

Ouch! That's nasty… Some cleaning programs can do horrible tricks. I once used one, which decided that the driver program for my in-build web-cam was a spy program and removed it. Obviously my web-cam stopped working completely, untill I restored the whole damn system.

I hope I could help you with more than sympathy, but my computer speaks Finnish, and the names of the folders wouldn't tell you much…

You can always save the text file for the character to another folder for safe keeping.
