I like making costumes and I have no where to really share them and ask for peer review or get suggestions. So with the communities blessing, I will start my third thread of pictures.

I've enjoyed costumes my whole life, really, I can probably find the pictures my family has of my early attempts…but I will spare you the pain.

This is one of my earliest pictures of me in a costume, please note that it is a costume I put together without any parental help (besides money):

as you can see it is rather old. I think I might have been seven when that was taken.

This is a more recent one, a mere three years old, and it is also the first costume I built.

the Proton-pack is actually a lot better then the picture shows. It has flashing lights on the top, and a glowing Ghost symbol on the back. it also has one of the 'ray guns' that had a bunch of lazerpointers and a LED in it. But it is being rebuilt, that Halloween downpoured and kinda destroyed it.

Thats where I'm going to leave off for now, since I need to undig the rest of my pictures from god knows where.

I am also currently building a outfit for a ren faire and a Larp society, which is why I put this in the Gamers Corner.

I was digging around on my facebook page when I found this fun fantasy picture.

its something I bought the main things for, the helmet, tunic, and chest piece, and then put together a outfit using various accessories that I had around the house.

I can hardly look at it now without cringing, it is truly a terrible set of fantasy armor but it still is one of my favorites.

i used to be really into making costumes when i worked for Alamo Drafthouse in Austin. when ever theyd have a new supeer-hero or sci-fi movie or whatever i'd host the premiere in costume. theyd pay for the supplies to make the costume, pay me to be there, and comp my food and booze! the best was borat. i ushered all day in character. id already seen the movie, so i was doing "shtick" they hadnt seen yet. they still use images of it in their promotional material. heres some of the costumes ive made plus some halloween stuff:

Frankenstein's monster

"sexbot" costume for my gf at the time. it played music

Loving the Wolfman!

Me in my chainmail with my swords, french war sword on back and mini cutlass on the right, also showing my sugar loaf helmet and norse shield I'm making.

my eventual plans involve using the chainmail to create a norse raider, a saxon warrior (or norman depending on my mood) and a 13th century knight (think second crusades).

I'll try and find reference pictures so you guys can see what I am talking about.
