After a brief break for Christmas, it is once again for me to challenge you to redesign one of my characters. This week I ask you to give me your interrupertation of ........................
The Jersey Devil
From my own home State of NJ the Jersey Devil patrols the Tri-state Area. His powers are Limited winged flight, With wings more suited to gliding he is able to actually fly with then though not very fast and usually used it to gain height and then glide at much greater speeds. In addition to his wings, the Devil also has enhanced strength and reflexes and is able to fire blasts of super heated plasma from his hands that he calls his hell fire.
The Rules
No limit on the number of entries you can submit in your attempts at redesigning the above image, however you most keep within the rules of the forum and blog when creating your entries. Hi all! Marx here, once and future contributing artist, with my first Blog post.
I noticed awhile back that if the hero your are designing is a suit-wearing type of hero, you really only have one choice of suit in HM3. When Jeff offered me the chance to come back and draw for HM3 after a long hiatus, I thought I'd start by expanding the options for the well-dressed hero. Because sometimes you want a picture of Superman, but sometimes you want a picture of Clark Kent.
I started with the existing single-breasted suit jacket and added three more jacket styles that all use the same sleeves as the original. I also added an open jacket and pushed-back open jacket for when you want to reveal a bit more of what's underneath. You can find them all in the Tops > MaleCoats set. (also duplicated for the FemaleCoats set.)
The elbow joint seen above in the lower right corner will hopefully make bent arm poses a bit more graceful. In addition, I added two new ties in the Neckwear > Standard set, and a folded pocket handkerchief to the Insignia > Standard set.
Then, just to show off all these new fashion choices, I put together a picture of four not-at-all-copyright-infringing, suit-wearing characters that I like to call "The Billionaire Boys Club."

Okay, lets get this thing back up and running after the Christmas break.
So, what I want you guys to do this week is create an old school style flying hero. Capes are optional, as are wings, but I'd like to keep this gadget-less please, no Iron Man style armour suits or such-like. You'll find out why in a couple of weeks.
As per usual, no limits on entries this week, the contest will close at midnight Saturday (blog time). Please read the rules before entering, have fun and good luck.
Rules for posts, contests, and challenges that I am hosting: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warnings. Only post characters that you have either created for this contest specifically or you know for certain have never been entered to a contest before. If you aren’t certain, don’t enter it, because I’m not going to go back through all of the contests and check.

Merry Christmas, everyone!
In the spirit of the season, I'd like to open up the Hall of Fame for nominations. If you have a HeroMachine image you think deserves to be immortalized, please post a link to it here. Or if you want to nominate someone else's creation, that'd be great to see as well.
