Poll Position: Manga Books vs Graphic Novel!

manga_banner-435x225

This weeks poll position I am going a different direction then norm and I would like to ask you all the following. If given a choice would you rather read a Graphic Novel, or an Manga style book ?

[polldaddy poll="6971170"]

I have read both Graphic novels and English translations of Japanese Manga and I have to say I much prefer the Graphic novel. While in general I prefer Anime over American cartoons the reverse is true for the comic book format mostly because no matter how good the story is I just can't get used to reading the panels from right to left instead of left to right.

So that is my preference tell us what you have to say on this matter below in the comments.

Character Contest #H16 "Free for All"

This week's contest if a free for all. Enter any character you want as long as if applies to the contest rules. Anything and everything goes this week. No limit, so have at it. Let's see the best characters you can come up with. Plus, for this week I will pick my top five and then post them in a poll to have everyone vote on the winner for this week.

Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line without warnings.

Character Contest #H15 “Luck of the Irish” Winner

There wasn't to many entries this week. I know I set a limit of one, but some of the regular people did not show up. As always all the entries were great. There was one that really stood out this week. It was tolkienhiste's Lady Leprechaun. A great pose, and a wonderful design. So the winner this week is tolkienhiste's Lady Leprechaun. Congrats on the great job.tolkienhiste-LadyLeprechaun_zps4ce82b40

Weekend Open Critique Day #H22

It's weekend again and time for another OCD. Not much more to say today, I'm thinking I need to come up with something to say for the Open Critique Days, but right now I have nothing. (Trust me it is very rare for me to have nothing to say. LOL)

My new rules for posts, contests, and challenges that I am hosting: Original characters only, no copyrighted characters, no characters based on copyrighted characters, no characters based on RPG’s or other games. The characters must be your own design and not based on any character that might be copyrighted in any way. I have the right to delete any post that I believe crosses this line with “no” warnings.

HeroMachine on your iPad, iPhone, or Android device!

If you've ever been frustrated by being unable to use HeroMachine on an iPad, iPhone, or Android device (as I have), your problems are solved! For a very small price, you can install the Photon Browser from AppsVerse onto your mobile device and enjoy any Flash-based content on the Internet, like HeroMachine.

I've been playing with it all day on my iPhone and it works great. It does cost a nominal fee (I want to say $4), but you can finally take HeroMachine (and all other Flash content) with you wherever you go.
