One thing I’ve noticed in this process is that there are very few times you will ever see a woman in comics in this pose. They almost always, if they’re just standing there, in a contra posto stance, one hip cocked and the weight mostly on one leg. Or with the torso at least slightly turned. This straight-on, arms-at-the-side, equally balanced position is almost unnatural, and getting a female figure to look good — naked! — while in it is more of a challenge than you’d think.
