I can definately see the relevance an owl on a womans chest would have in that case but I find the relevance to be pointing more in terms of owls being creatures of the night, hence her name "Night Girl". Throughout history owls have been associated by the media to be animals of the midnight time, and naturally speaking they are nocturnal animals by part.
